1970s, Made in Italy. This remarkable Travertine table defines luxury. The statement base is made of a solid block of Travertine which has been designed and hand carved to create a perfect conical silhouette. Less is more in the world of stones. Its minimalist beauty truly encapsulates the eye.
The buttery smooth surface is freshly honed, exposing the natural qualities of Travertine. The table top matches the bases’ soft curves, having a thick 1.25” edge. It is important to note that this edge is 1 solid piece and is not two 3/4”slabs attached together like most modern designs. Do not under estimate the weight of this piece. The craftsmanship is refined at every angle and crevasse.
Condition: No damages. Great vintage condition. Refinished professionally to a honed finish + sealer.
Note: Travertine is naturally porous. The natural properties of stone include a variation of hues which can be seen on the table top and the neck of the base.
