A 1970s rare nesting cocktail coffee table set. Using a luscious cut of Italian Travertine Bianco, each table top is detailed finished with a rounded bullnose edge. A hand carved technique that requires years of honing. The travertine cuts used are 3cm thick, which are near impossible to acquire today. Each table hovers over one another with a 2.5” space in between to provide a floating illusion.
Previously this table was coated in a dull aged polish, which we transformed to a honed finish. We now can see the raw texture of the stone, with the surface and edges sanded by hand to achieve a perfectly velvety table top.
It’s important to note the the variation of the stone, the craftsmanship and our restoration process adds longevity as an investment piece which will last a lifetime.
Condition: Refinished professionally and sealed to a matte / honed finish
