This remarkable piece underwent a comprehensive restoration. Initially encased in epoxy, which led to scratches and discolouration, our in house artisans took to the task of unveiling the hidden gem beneath. The epoxy was meticulously stripped away, revealing the pristine and untouched Italian Carrara Marble. It was then carefully sanded down to achieve a high honed finish that accentuates its beauty.
The table flaunts a radiant white base colour, beautifully contrasted by delicate grey veining and wrapped with an under beveled edge. These patterns dance across the marble, dispersing in various directions, reminiscent of nature's spontaneous artistry.
It wasn't just the tabletop that needed love. The table's base had also been hidden under an uneven layer of epoxy, which had begun to chip over time. Determined to restore every inch of this classic piece, each individual faceted panel and seam on the base was tended to.
After several weeks, we're thrilled to present this stunning dining table. It's not merely a piece of furniture; it's a journey from the past, reborn and revitalized, and it's never looked better. Ready for a new life in a discerning home, this table is a conversation starter, a centerpiece, and a timeless addition to any dining space.
CONDITION — Great condition. No damages. On the base there are areas previously repaired (see photos 9 & 12). NOTE that the slots on the base are intentional and not a defect.
This table is professionally restored, refinished & sealed to a honed finish. Refinishing includes the entire piece, not just the surface. All refinishing is completed in house to ensure top grade quality and consistency.
NOTE — Carrara is a naturally porous soft stone. Our vintage pieces undergo an in-depth refinishing process to ensure we bring it back to the best condition possible. Although, this may mean they are not perfect due the authentic vintage age of 40-50 years.
